Arubi hopeful

Arubi, a pillar of strength at Dynamos in the last three seasons is set to join newly promoted Super Diski side Pretoria University and there had been genuine fears that he could fail to travel with DeMbare for their third round, second leg tie against InterClube in Luanda.
Dynamos were held 0-0 at home in he first leg and will now be hoping to upstage the Angolans at their home or at least force a scoring draw in order to advance to the group stage of the competition.

With skipper George Magariro relegated to the bench these days, Arubi has taken over the armband and the seasoned goalkeeper has not disappointed either with some commanding shows between the posts.
Arubi also spoke about the absence of star midfielder Denver Mukamba who is not available for the second leg following his move to Bidvest Wits in South Africa and said Dynamos would have to make do without the Zimbabwe international who has been their playmaker.

“Denver is not around at the moment but in football usually 30 players are registered to play and whoever is selected should play accordingly,” said Arubi.
“We drew 0-0 with the Angolans at home although we had hoped to get a win.
“But the two league games we have played after the Caf match have motivated us because we managed to get wins,” said Arubi.

Dynamos beat Quelaton 1-0 with right back David Kutyauripo scoring the solitary goal at Luveve before they stepped up their act and dazzled Blue Rangers with are fined show that yielded a 6-0 victory.
Arubi shared the same sentiments with assistant coach Tonderai Ndiraya who is hopeful that Dynamos will get goals in Luanda.

“We are going to seek a win in Luanda.
“I think we are at an advantage now because we avoided conceding any goals here at home.
“We now have to score goals in Luanda,” said Arubi.

Interclube, Arubi said, took a rather defensive approach in the first leg.
“At least we now have an idea of how they play.
“But I noticed that Interclube were very defensive and they almost parked a bus in their box,” said Arubi.

In seeking a goal, Arubi hopes to initiate the attacks by Dynamos from behind as much as he will be the last man in defence.
“We should build our attack from the back and avoid pumping long balls. I hope its going to be an open game and this is a new game,” said Arubi. The Dynamos goalkeeper reckoned that everyone is motivated ahead of their scheduled departure for Luanda tomorrow evening.

But the Dynamos camp will be hoping that seasoned midfielder Murape Murape who had just returned to training, recovers.
Murape had been sidelined for the past month due to a pulled muscle and was back at full training this week.
However, Murape failed to last the whole session after he picked out a knock yesterday.

“Its not a seriously injury but I have to rest and hopefully I should be back at training tomorrow (today),” said Murape.
Meanwhile Interclube were last night expected to play rivals Recreativo da Caála at Luanda’s 22 de Junho stadium, in 17th round of the national first division football championship (Girabola 2012).
Initially the match was scheduled for Saturday but was brought forward due to Interclube’s involvement in the Caf competition.

Interclube are lying in sixth position with 25 points, while Recreativo da Caála are in ninth place with 21 points. Recreativo do Libolo lead the competition with 40 points, while Nacional de Benguela are at the bottom of the table with seven points.
