WARRIORS goalkeeper, Washington Arubi, will find a new coaching set-up, when he returns to his base, in South Africa.
His struggling DStv Premiership club, Marumo Gallants, confirmed they have released head coach, Sebastien Migne, with immediate effect.
The club claimed the Frenchman was relieved of his duties after an incident of insubordination, towards the club’s technical director, Harris Choeu, ahead of their clash with Golden Arrows.
Gallants were unable to secure a win under Minge, in the league but they did advance to the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
“Following a disciplinary hearing last Thursday, the 7th October 2021, Marumo Gallants FC dismissed Sebastien Minge, head coach on Sunday,’’ club chairman, Abram Sello, said in a statement.
“Minge pleaded guilty for insubordination and using abusive language towards Technical Director, Harris Choeu.
“The incident happened in public, and in the presence of players and the technical team at OR Tambo International airport, on a trip to Durban last weekend, to play against Golden Arrows.
“Minge started working for The Gallants on 1 July 2021.
“As a coach, his duty is to instil discipline to the team. “The club followed correct disciplinary procedure and the decision to release him was made.
“It is unfortunate that Sebastien had to be dismissed especially at a crucial time when we are pushing to remain in the league and advance in CAF.
“As management we cannot go against what the DC has decided but to wish Sebastien well in his future endeavours.”
David Mathebula and Mpho Maleka have once again taken over the coaching reigns at Marumo Gallants.
Mathebula and Maleka have now reportedly taken over first-team duties for a second time, with the duo previously playing a huge role in the club’s Nedbank Cup triumph last season.
Gallants are still without a win in their opening five league matches played so far.
Meanwhile, Migne’s assistant, Belgium-born Jean-Francois Luscuito, revealed the full extent of the dysfunction at the club, after putting to an end a short two-month stay.
“It was one hell of a difficult place to work because the conditions were just not right in producing results for a professional club,” Loscuito said.
“I’m owed money as we speak because I paid for the squad’s Covid-19 tests from my own pocket after the chairman said he has no money as we entered Cameroon after the game in Equatorial Guinea and I still haven’t been reimbursed my money.
“I also worked for over half the month of September, but I haven’t been paid the pro-rata equivalent.
“There are way too many problems at that club most of which can be easily avoided,” Loscuito said in a damning report.
Arubi is one of the stars at Gallants.
Arubi is with the Warriors for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars.
He was in goals when Zimbabwe lost 1-3 to the Black Stars in Ghana, on Saturday.
“The club is not run professionally and Black Leopards, where I have worked before, is run far much better than Marumo.
‘’A lot of players have not been receiving their salaries and still haven’t received their signing-on fees.
“The chairman never responds to calls and messages and hasn’t delivered on the promise to bring an analyst and strikers,’’ he said. “When you ask about your money the chairman suspends you so that is why the players are in fear.
“To be honest the problem is in the way the club is run and it is difficult motivating players because there is always a problem of some sort to attend to every day.’’
