Aspiring MP of the hook

Manicaland Correspondent
ZANU-PF aspiring candidate for Makoni North constituency Cde James Munetsi heaved a huge sigh of relief last week when the court found him not guilty of stealing $22 500 he was given by a Bulawayo-based company to buy cattle on its behalf.

Cde Munetsi (52) was alleged to have been given Z$250 trillion in 2008 to buy 50 cattle by a Bulawayo-based company, Winnerman Engineering, but allegedly vanished when the money was deposited into his account.
Inconsistencies

Cde Munetsi, who was not represented, pleaded not guilty to the charge, arguing that the company never deposited the money into his bank account and that the company took some groceries from his shop in Mayo.
Rusape provincial magistrate Mr Shane Kubonera found Cde Munetsi not guilty after he noted some inconsistencies in the State case.
