THE National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe’s (NAAZ) strategic partnership with 5Brands Consulting Group has seen the World Relays team get a sponsorship boost.
Zimbabwe will be represented in the 4x400m relay event in Guazhou, China on May 10-11.
Zimbabwe’s participation has received a significant boost following sponsorship by Health (China) Sporting Goods Company Ltd.
The deal is through their flagship company Hiracer.
Six Zimbabwean athletes and three officials will receive a full kit which includes spikes, uniforms, tracksuits, T-shirts, socks, caps and waist bags customised to World Athletics standards.
“This sponsorship is more than the apparel – it’s a symbol of belief in Zimbabwe talent,” said Tendai Tagara the NAAZ president.
Tagara said they were excited as NAAZ to see Zimbabwe athletes at the apex of world athletics.
Harare lawyer, Gerren Muwishi is the captain of the 4x400m relay national team.
