The attempts by the West and their local allies to discredit the August 23 harmonised elections has been exposed.
The way the West observers and their local allies are conducting the electoral processes has betrayed their agenda and political preferences.
It does not require a genius to deduce that the West is biased towards the opposition.
The Second Republic has opened up the electoral environment and has invited anyone willing to observe the elections.
They have nothing to hide, hence the invitation.
However, some of the invited guests came with hidden agendas up their sleeves.
The West is now taking advantage of the opened democratic space to further their regime change agenda.
The West and its allies which including some non-governmental organisations have allegedly already come with prepared and biased electoral observation report which is aimed at discrediting Zimbabwe’s harmonised elections.
These allies want the looming elections to be violent in nature so as to invalidate the imminent ZANU PF resounding victory. They have blamed everybody including the media of being biased towards the ruling party.
They conveniently wink at the private, international and pirate media which dedicate acres of space and unlimited air play to the CCC.
What they also forget to tell their consumers is that the CCC denied the coverage opportunities extended to them by the national broadcaster and other state media.
CCC’s spokesperson, Fadzayi Mahere warned the party members against offering ZBC interviews arguing that it was a hostile media.
A hostile media giving you space to articulate your ideas?
Addressing foreign observers and diplomats last month, Media, Information and Broadcasting Services Deputy Minister Kindness Paradza emphasised that ZBC was ready to cover the elections fairly.
“Free prime-time slots for debates and discussions on election issues and live coverage of political and election events are being provided to all political players.
“These programmes offer a platform for political parties to discuss their policies and engage in constructive dialogue. Such discussions are crucial in fostering an informed electorate,” said Deputy Minister Paradza.
The foreign diplomats including the European Union-Election Observation Mission (EU-EOM), were all present on the briefing.
It is surprising to note that these foreign diplomats are on the forefront attacking the electoral environment yet they were briefed everything concerning the transparency of the process.
One can only presume that already these Western observers had their own pre-conceived ideas before they jetted in Zimbabwe. This has impaired their objective mandate of observing the elections.
Addressing a Zanu PF Harare Provincial Star rally last week, President Mnangagwa reiterated that the West wished us violence and Zimbabweans would shame them.
The President commended the people for being peaceful at a time the nation is just a few days away from elections.
One EU observer created a WhatsApp group where he is conniving with journalists aligned to it to craft fake adverse articles on the country.
The observer is influencing the journalists aligned to the West to write adverse reports lying that Zanu PF is unleashing violent escapades ahead of the elections.
This in itself shows that the West has an agenda and they are biased towards the opposition.
It is surprising to note that the EU never hinted anything about the freedom of the media. The media are operating freely and covering events of all political parties without being harassed or threatened.
The reports from the West and their local allies circulating around are alleging several issues regarded as obstructions to free, fair and democratic elections.
The report presents a plethora of elements indicating a possibility of violence in the looming 2023 elections.
The report also indicates verbal attacks and counter attacks in the media between political parties, with increased political activism in the country resulting in a tense environment.
It also stated that there was lack of political tolerance in areas which have previously experienced disputed election results, which in turn sparks violence.
It is a pity to know that the Westerners are actually wishing violent elections.
Indeed, we are going to shame them.
Even if they write their adverse reports about ZANU PF, the people know where to place their votes.
The electorate knows what the party has done for them.
Even the leader of CCC, Nelson Chamisa can also testify that ZANU PF is a party which does a number of developmental projects and this has resulted in Zanu PF winning the hearts of the Zimbabweans.
Chamisa and his party are only good at obstructing the developmental projects being implemented by the administration of President Mnangagwa.
Meanwhile, the CCC conducted a survey to deduce the number of seats that party would win in the imminent elections.
The report suggested that the CCC would win only 50 seats. A pre-election opinion survey which was conducted in July across the country’s 10 provinces by the Public Policy and Research Institute of Zimbabwe (PPRIZ) revealed that the majority of the respondent electorate will vote for Zanu PF on August 23 elections.
I presume the West and their local allies had their preconceptions about the on-going electoral processes. They are taking advantage of the free coverage and a welcome environment being demonstrated by the Second Republic to write what they want and influence their regime change agenda. Zimbabweans will however continue to shame them by demonstrating peace during and after the elections despite their false adverse pre-empted reports.
