THE African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5, in partnership with the Bindura University of Science Education and the Ministry of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, is set to launch the Executive Sports Management Development Programme on Wednesday.
The launch will take place at the BUSE main campus.
Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture Minister Anselem Sanyatwe is expected to be the guest of honour.
The one-year programme is part of the regional body’s capacity development programmes and is tailor-made for governments and sports commissions within the region.
AUSC Region 5 chief executive Stanley Mutoya confirmed the development.
“It’s a management programme where we are trying to ensure we upskill our officers in governments to appreciate the essence of sport,” Mutoya said.
