The Wallabies have recalled former captain James Horwill in what will be his 50th cap for Australia as he rejoins Reds team-mate Rob Simmons in the second row following an ankle injury to Sam Carter.
Coach Ewen McKenzie is forced into two other changes with captain Stephen Moore ruled out through a season-ending knee injury and backrow Wycliff Palu sidelined with an ankle problem. Tatafu Polota-Nau, who played for 76 minutes of the first test, and Ben McCalman are the respective replacements.
Michael Hooper will captain the side in the absence of Moore, with James Slipper stepping up to vice-captaincy duties.
