Australian-based promoter lifts Zim’s flag high

Prominent Australian-based Zimbabwean music promoter and entrepreneur Guardian Mushangwe continues to lift the country’s flag high as his health services company got recognition as the best in Australia. Mushangwe, an award-winning Zimbabwean entrepreneur who co-founded Mopane Health Services, has been recognised for leading one of the best Australian National Disability Insurance Scheme Companies (NDIS).

Mopane Health Services has been running for five years and recently its anniversary celebrations were graced by the State legislator Brownyn Halfpenny, who was the guest of honour.

In an interview, Mushangwe told Herald Arts and Entertainment that he was humbled by receiving such recognition.

“I am really grateful to see my work being appreciated in this manner.We are the first African company in Victoria Australia to reach a five-year mark under health programme NDIS,” he said.

Mushangwe has vowed to continue making strides in the health sector and plans to open a facility in Zimbabwe.

“In line with country’s Vision 2030, I am planning to open up a health centre that focuses on psychosocial impairments that aims to curb mental health issues faced by Zimbabweans,” he said.

The versatile entrepreneur also expressed his gratitude for the educational foundation he got from Zimbabwe.

Apart from the Mopane Community Health Company, Mushangwe also runs Nursing Care Provisions that operates under Sage Health Australia.

Born in Chitungwiza, Mushangwe is the founder of Heritage Events Group which started in Australia as an events company in 2009 before expanding to Zimbabwe in 2013.

Mushangwe has worked with artistes such as Killer T, Ammara Brown, Shinsoman, Dadza D, Winky D and Jah Prayzah, among others locally-based and in Australia.
