AUTHOR Maxine Adams has launched a daily devotional book titled “Her Crown Was Grace” — which is full of spiritual guidance, particularly for women.
Women from all walks of life last week gathered in Borrowdale, Harare, for the official launch of the work.
They were well-dressed and the event was full of pomp and fanfare.
Adams hopes the book will give readers a chance to deepen their relationship with God.
She said the book touches on women’s faith, relationships, self-care and personal growth.
“Each day’s entry offers a scripture verse, a brief reflection and a prayer to help readers connect with God and find inspiration for their daily lives,” said the author.
“There are insights and perspectives that helped me deepen my own understanding of faith and inspired me to create something truly meaningful for my readers.”
The book, she said, was inspired by the need to cater for women’s spiritual needs.
“I created something that would speak directly to women’s hearts and help them deepen their relationship with the Creator. I wanted to make sure that the book was as comprehensive and as impactful as possible before releasing it to the public.
“I used my life experiences as examples in some parts.
“This was to make the book more relatable, as I am on a journey to finding myself and who God wants me to be,” said Adams.
“Her Crown Was Grace” encourages positivity.
It also urges women to rediscover their purpose and lean on God, particularly during tough times.
In a way, the book provides the reader with an insight into how they can overcome life’s challenging situations.
“I wrote the book when I was going through some pain in my personal life and I believe it will help fellow women.”
Adams started writing five years ago and has in the past released “A Daily Grace: A Devotion for Women”.
Some readers argue she is treading the same path that was traversed by legendary female authors like Joyce Meyer, Sarah Jake Roberts and Beth Moore.
