AN author from Bulawayo, Fortune Musaka has published a book on love poems to revive and encourage society not to give up on relationships.
Musaka said the book presents different challenges that are brought about by love.
“The book is titled ‘Affections at Zenith’ and the motivation behind is to unveil the perceptions that the youths have on love in the modern era which is characterised by infatuation, intimacy, and money. It presents the mishaps presented by ‘umjolo’ which has seen minors being lured with material things by old men. The book portrays the beauty and the darker side of love,” he said.
Musaka stated that the key message is encouraging the public and giving them hope even after being heartbroken.
“The novel reminds those that have lost hope in love through betrayal and disappointments that there is still love and one needs time to heal, rediscover, and fall in love,” he said.
He said they have several projects lined up for the year.
“We have several projects that are underway and a book titled “Gents Gossips” that is coming up this year,” he said.
