SOUTH Africa globe-trotting gospel sensation Ayanda Ntanzi of the Imimoya fame featuring Spirit Of Praise, is set to grace Bulawayo for the first time in his career as he will be performing at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Hall 3 on 25 May.

The multi-award winning muso comes to the city of Kings after successfully releasing his latest offering “According to Grace – A One Man Show”. Organiser of the show Unathi Mdlaziba said the event has been gathering momentum, and to have one of the best African Gospel Musicians of our time in Bulawayo, is a major highlight not only in the Gospel music circles but in the entire music fraternity of our city.

“Ntanzi, well known from Spirit of Praise and also from a solo artiste perspective – his up coming event in Bulawayo has greatly excited masses who are anticipating his coming to minister in song, with hits such as “imimoya” and “Mhlengi Unomusa”. These are some of the songs that have spread his prowess as a Gospel musician, even beyond borders. There is no denying how he has been growing over the years as a Gospel artiste and his tour guide, which is now international, makes us feel blessed that he will be in our city, considering his tight schedule,” said Mdlaziba.

Local creatives who will share the stage with Ntanzi are Mai Mwamuka, Pastor Barack, Siza Mdlongwa, Vusa Mangena, Lorraine Stot, Vocal Ex, amongst others.

Mdlaziba said the star-studded lineup will give worshippers value for their money as the event will have the Lord’s presence, courtesy of the artistes who will rotate on the stage.

“Bulawayo has always been a music hub, a musically colourful City and the gospel music fraternity is also a testament of that. The line set up for the day represents diversity musically and also has an appeal to all generations that is the young and those of age. Great music of the highest order, spirit filled and inspired by the word of God is what will be experienced. The gig will be a musical fellowship in the presence of the Lord,” said Mdlaziba.

From his base in South Africa, Ntanzi confirmed his attendance.

“I have been to Harare before with Spirit of Praise. This time I will be in Bulawayo and I am super excited because I understand the language I speak (IsiZulu) is very common there. I am looking forward to spreading the word of God,” he said.
