BABY FOUND DEAD! Nose and cheek cut off as police probe Africa Day tragedy

IN a spine-chilling tragedy that has left villagers in Filabusi shaken to the core, the lifeless body of an 8-week-old baby boy was discovered gruesomely mutilated on Africa Day.

The infant was found with his nose and right cheek hacked off, in what locals are describing as a “scene straight from a horror movie.”

According to police, the baby’s mother had left him sleeping in a spare bedroom hut while she went to have breakfast in a nearby kitchen hut. When she returned, she was met with a nightmare no mother should ever face.
“We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the baby’s death,” said the police on X, who have since launched a manhunt and are calling on anyone with information to assist.
“This was a heartless act. The infant’s injuries suggest a deliberate and brutal attack,” said a source close to the investigation.

The community is still reeling in shock, with many fearing ritualistic motives behind the gruesome killing.

The police appealed to the public to come forward with any leads that might help bring the perpetrator to justice. Anyone with information is urged to report to the nearest police station.

Filabusi is mourning — and demanding answers.
