A Harare woman has appeared in court on allegations of kidnapping an infant at Epworth Poly Clinic on Wednesday.
Christina Gwashavanhu (35), who is of no fixed aboard was facing kidnapping charges when she appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Dennis Mangosi.
She was remanded in custody and advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
The court heard that on June 23, at Epworth Poly Clinic Gwashavanhu, who was not the lawful custodian of an infant unlawfully took the infant and deprived the baby of its freedom of bodily movement intending to cause deprivation.
