A Back to Kasi Event is set to light up Pumula on December 22, with organisers promising a vibrant celebration that blends music, community upliftment and youth empowerment.
The show will bring together a mix of up-and-coming and established artistes from Bulawayo and Harare, creating a platform for cultural exchange and unity during the festive season.
Event organiser Kruger said the choice of date was deliberate, as it coincides with Unity Day.
“December 22 is Unity Day, which is why I decided to invite the community to come together and enjoy the festive season. The event is meant to unite artistes from Harare and Bulawayo, while also bringing people together through music,” he said.
The line-up features popular names such as Mzoe 7, Winza, Khonangale, Zinjaziyamluma, Ma9ine and Feb G, among others. The show will also give emerging artistes a chance to perform alongside established acts, allowing audiences to experience new music and talent.
Kruger said the event goes beyond entertainment, as it is rooted in community development.
“The aim of this show is to make Pumula great and uplift the people of Pumula. I grew up here, I love this place and I have no plans of leaving. This is my way of giving back,” he said.
In addition to the musical performances, the event will feature stalls for young entrepreneurs to exhibit and market their businesses.
On the future of the initiative, Kruger said the Back to Kasi Event aligns with the broader vision of Kruger Chill Spot, which he described as more than just an entertainment venue.
