Maskiri’s manager, Ishmael Chi-bvunye, described the album as “clean” compared to all his previous controversial recordings.
“The album still has Maskiri’s humour and trademark wit, but the lyrics have been toned down and you can listen to the songs as a family,” he said.
The musician is notorious for his lewd and sexually suggestive songs which were condemned in some sections of the society. Speaking at the launch, Maskiri said he was now a changed man and that God had made him a better person.
“I want to thank my manager as well as my sponsor Spencer Madziya who encouraged me to sing positive messages while maintaining my unique style of rapping.
“I just want to make music,” he said.
The hip-hop artiste believes urban grooves has come of age, as witnessed by the growth of the genre, as people now enjoy the music.
