NB this recipe makes two loaves so if you are making one loaf reduce ingredients by half
INGREDIENTS
6 cups all purpose/plain flour
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tsp active yeast
1 tsp salt
1 and 1/2 cup luke warm milk
2 eggs
4 tbsp melted butter
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put 1 and ½ cup luke warm milk in a bowl and add 3tsp of active yeast.
2. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and melted butter and eggs.
3. Whisk together to combine
4. Sift in 6 cups of flour and mix to form a dough, if the dough is too thick add a little bit of milk.
5. Place dough on a floured surface and knead for 10mins until dough becomes smooth and elastic.
6. Grease a bowl with a little oil and place the dough then cover with a plastic wrap.
7. Place in a warm place until it doubles in size approximately 60 minutes
8. Divide dough into 2 equal parts
9. Roll the first part of the dough fold it and tuck in, repeat on the second one.
10. Grease a baking tray or use 2 separate loaf pans and place the dough.
11. Cover with a plastic wrap or clean kitchen towel and let it rise for about 30 mins or until double in size.
12. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25 to 30 mins or until golden brown. – Online
