Baker’s Inn pours over $1m into promo

LEADING confectionery baker, Baker’s Inn has poured more than $1 million towards its bread promotion which will run for two months.

Baker’s Inn sales and marketing executive Mr Caleb Masocha said the promotion which begins on Monday and ends on 1 December was part of the company’s efforts to give back to communities from which it derives business from.

He said this at a launch of the Buy and Win Promotion 2017 in Bulawayo last Thursday.

“We have invested over a million dollars into this promotion. There are various reasons we come up with these promotions. Firstly, we do it to thank our consumers for their loyalty to Baker’s Inn bread and thank our customers for giving us business. As a business we strongly believe that ploughing back to the community is good because they give us business,” said Mr Masocha.

About 11 000 people are expected to win a wide range of prizes including 11 Mercedes Benz C-Class at provincial grand draws that would run from 9 December to 18 February 2018.

Other prizes to be won include refrigerators, solar geysers, LED televisions, two plate stoves and gas cylinders, school fees vouchers with instant traders and shoppers prize such as 20 loaves, caps, T-shirts and cash.

“When you look at the promotions that we have done, we have enabled marginalised people to win prizes and this has changed their lives. People have broken the line of poverty by winning Baker’s Inn prizes,” said Mr Masocha.

The promotion would also see retailers getting an opportunity to win a free month’s supply of bread.
