Bambo officially takes over City

HARARE City chairman Alois Masepe yesterday said they settled for Moses Chunga to replace Taurai Mangwiro as their head coach because they believe the former Zimbabwe international has passion for positive football. Chunga was confirmed as the new coach of the Sunshine Boys yesterday following the sacking of Mangwiro, who had performed below the expectations of his bosses.

Masepe yesterday told The Herald that they believe Chunga was the right person to turn around the fortunes of the club after they had made a slow start this year.

“He has passion for good football, has a vision and is blessed with the ability to pick out talent from a young age and to gel the players.

“Chunga is a very good football person. He might have his weaknesses, just like anyone else, but the positives about him being a football person far outweigh everything else,” said Masepe.
