BANGANE are set to come out guns blazing this afternoon when they clash  with Matshobane in their bid to ensure that they qualify for the Champion of Champions tournament set for December.

Bangane are Pool C log leaders sitting on 79 points. Bekithemba Khumalo, Bangane chairman believes this has been a memorable season for the Nkulumane boys.

“It has been a tough and memorable season in our history. We are still pinning our hopes of winning this tournament. In the middle of the journey, we have encountered a lot of negativity which we conquered victoriously. At the same time, injuries too held us to draws with teams we were supposed to beat  and Heavens took us to where we are  today.”

Breathing down heavily on their necks is Celtics as well as Wolves both on 65 points. These two title contenders will be out for a win while praying that Bangane posts a negative result. On the other hand log leaders are aware that if they sleep on duty they might end the season nursing a broken  heart.

Meanwhile, a mouth watering derby is on the menu this afternoon in Cowdray Park where Fireworks “The Landlords” take on their perennial rivals Cowdray Park Masters at Luveve High School Community ground.  They are both on 65 points, Fireworks are sixth on the log due to a better goal difference followed by Masters on position seven  on the table.

The battle looks balanced however, based on current form Masters have a chance of walking away with the bragging rights at the end of the game if they get their act  together.
