Bangladesh name squad for Zim T20 series

BANGLADESH have announced squads for their upcoming T20I series against Australia and the one-off Test cricket against Zimbabwe.

Led by Litton Das, the hosts will take on Australia in a three-match series, which begins on June 17. All the matches will be held at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram.

Major returns in the squad include Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana, who are back in the T20I setup after having missed out on the T20I series against New Zealand in April.

Seamer Ripon Mondol and bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin make way for the two.

A three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and Australia is currently underway in Dhaka. After the white-ball series, the Asian side will travel to Zimbabwe for a Test match. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead a 15-member squad in the one-off Test in Harare. Among the changes in the Test squad is the inclusion of uncapped batter Tawhid Hridoy.
