BANTU Rovers’ revival under gaffer Thulani Sibanda is expected to continue when they clash with Black Boots in a Zifa Southern Region Division One match set for Unit Fairbridge this afternoon. Ex-Bulawayo Chiefs Coach Sibanda has started on a positive note at Bantu Rovers collecting nine points in three matches. Bantu Rovers are now sitting on fourth position on the log from seventh when Sibanda took over the reigns and are coming from a 1-0 win over Hwange Juniors last weekend.
Game changer Njabulo Sibanda is expected to be on top of his game as forward Fortune Ncube is in doubt for the clash against Black Boots.
Bantu Rovers coach Sibanda is worried about winning the championship and he is not carried away despite a positive start.
“Our major role is performance orientated, we are not goal orientated, we are just treating this game like any other game,” said Sibanda.
Black Boots are also in fine form in their championship chase after beating Victoria Falls based Mkhosana 2-0 in their last encounter. They are second on the log standings, five points behind pace setters Bulawayo Chiefs.
Police outfit coach Kudzai Mutuda is positive his side can hand Bantu Rovers coach his first defeat.
“We are positive we can beat them (Bantu Rovers), we have prepared well and the morale is high in our camp because we did well in our last game,” said Mutuda.
