Promising Harare-based gospel singer Batsie Munyoro has exited America’s Got Talent (AGT) after failing to secure enough votes to progress to the next stage of the competition.

The talented vocalist first captured the attention of many Zimbabweans through TikTok, where his heartfelt gospel performances earned him a growing following. His breakthrough came when one of his videos went viral, attracting the attention of AGT producers and earning him an invitation to audition for the globally acclaimed talent show.

Munyoro impressed the judges with a memorable performance during the auditions, raising hopes of a lengthy run in the competition. However, he was later informed that he had not received the required number of audition points to advance to the next round.

Following the announcement, Munyoro took to social media to express his gratitude to Zimbabweans who supported him throughout his journey.
“Zimbabwe, thank you. From prayer, fasting, and long nights of hard work, to being selected for America’s Got Talent season 21, 2026 from just a TikTok video. Honestly, it was unexpected. It was unbelievable. God’s timing is something else. To be the fourth Zimbabwean artiste in AGT history is something that I will never take lightly. It was remarkable. It was an incredible experience that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life,” he wrote on Facebook.

He also extended his appreciation to the AGT team and several Zimbabwean musicians who stood by him during the competition.
@My gratitude goes out to the AGT producers, interview crew, and all the hospitality staff. Thank you for how you welcomed me, treated me with respect, and made a young boy from Zim feel at home in the USA.
@My Zimbabwean family in music who stood firm for me: Everton Mlalazi, Jah Prayzah, Lady Bishop Madindi, Nyasha Mutonhori, and Eleana Makombo. Your support, your prayers, and your belief in me carried me through.
“To every Zimbabwean who prayed, shared, commented, and cheered from Harare to Bulawayo to the diaspora, you were with me on that stage. This journey is ours. Ndatenda, Ngiyabonga. Thank you.”

Although his AGT journey has come to an end, Munyoro revealed that the experience has opened new doors.
According to a letter from the show’s organisers, while he was not selected to continue in the competition, several American producers and brands expressed interest in working with him. The potential collaborations are expected to help him develop his artistry further and could mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his music career.
