BERLIN. — Pep Guardiola and his Bayern Munich players celebrated their Bundesliga triumph in style with a seven-hour party at a Berlin nightspot.
The manager danced to the Pharrell Williams song “Happy” as his stars drank champagne and scoffed burgers well into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The league champions were pictured stumbling out of the “Kitty Cheng” bar on Berlin’s lively Torstrasse at 5am after celebrating their record-breaking title win.
They beat Hertha Berlin 3-1 at the Olympiastadion to secure a 24th Bundesliga with seven matches still to play.
And after the players finished their celebrations with the fans inside the stadium and in the dressing room, they boarded the team coach and headed into Berlin city centre.
Still wearing their red club tracksuits, the players disembarked at the trendy “Kitty Cheng” club, where red and white balloons had been set up for their arrival.
The club’s hymn “Stern des sudens” (Star of the South) played through the speakers on a continuous loop as the players unwound, according to German newspaper Bild.
At about 2.15am, Guardiola, the only one dressed in suit and tie, took to the dance floor to show off some moves to the popular Pharrell Williams song, egged on by his players.
The players were served burgers and Asian finger food as they drank champagne and Grey Goose Vodka.
Some, including Mario Gotze, Toni Kroos and Mario Mandzukic left early, but striker Thomas Muller was pictured looking a little worse for wear leaving at just after 5am. The party would down at about 7am and the players then flew back to Munich.
The league title may be remaining under lock and key at the Allianz Arena but Bayern still have plenty to play for.
In the Champions League, they are set to face Manchester United in the quarter-finals as they bid to become the first team to retain the trophy.
They host Hoffenheim on Saturday as they attempt to break yet more Bundesliga records before the end of the season.
The Bavarians are currently 52 matches unbeaten, having not lost so far this season. If they avoid defeat before the end of the season, they will break AC Milan’s record of 58 games (1991 to 1993) for Europe’s top five leagues. — Mailonline.
