BCC implements city wide water shutdown

BULAWAYO City Council (BCC) has implemented a city wide water shutdown as it works on restoring its 120-weekly water shedding programme.

Bulawayo Town Clerk Mr Christopher Dube revealed the latest development in a statement on Monday.

“The City of Bulawayo is in the process of building reservoirs in preparation of reverting to the 120 hours shedding schedule,” said Mr Dube.

Following a serious pipe burst last week, the council has been implementing a daily water restoration programme, which has seen only a few selected suburbs receiving water outside the scheduled period.
