Be brave, innovative to move on

Charles Mungoshi Jnr :  Versatile Fufu

The way Mufaro held on to the branch showed that if he let go that was it. All his concentration was pinned on surviving the next hours in that position until some help showed up. The lions mourned in a hunger only human flesh would satisfy at the time. His eyes popped out and the heart beat faster than the normal pace but not as fast as the sweat dripped from his head. Was it fear of death or was it hunger for survival that kept his grip so tight on to that branch. What is keeping you from falling into that devouring situation ahead? Have you let go of the branch? Are you on your way down or you are still glued on to the branch?

I think if your energy is founded on fear then soon you will let loose of the only thing that is keeping you alive because fear eats you up from within. With fear you won’t have room to think of other tactics or ways to live because you are convinced that so far that branch is the source of your existence.

When that branch gets overwhelmed by your weight you will still fall with it. Mufaro, is it the will to live that has you pinned onto the branch because if it is, then we are in the right direction. You can push your mind to think of way a out or way to survive and lead yourself ahead of the flesh eating beast.

This is what makes a difference between failure and success — a failure will not try new things because of the fear of not making it. The ability to make that decision to jump off is not an easy decision for everyone because being brave is not an easy to get attitude but a behaviour adopted from the desire to make it.

Mufaro I’m urging you to be brave, be innovative — you know it has been too long hanging on that branch you call your workplace, that garbage of a relationship, that gambling game that always leave you penniless.

You feel it within you that it’s high time you let go of that branch but you don’t just release yourself into the mouths of hungry lions. You ought to devise a way out, a way onto a much more safer platform.

Remember, being safer means you are not in a safe spot — so open your eyes my dear there are many ways out, start using your brain and beat the lion — you can do it. The branch doesn’t owe you anything so get ready to move fast before it let’s you loose!
