PLANTING a seed in the wrong field!
A polygamist from Binga with four wives and 16 children allegedly slept with one of his teenage daughters following instructions from a sangoma who told him that his cattle would multiply.
The sad script about the sad sexual romp with his 15-year-old flesh and blood started last year in October after he consulted a local sangoma about his cattle that were dying.
The sangoma said the solution was to sleep with his daughter and he obliged.
They had sex on several occasions without using protection and that led to his daughter falling pregnant.
The matter came to light when the teenager started vomiting uncontrollably and complaining of stomach pains.
She was taken to hospital where it was confirmed she was pregnant and her mother pressed her for answers and she named her father as the responsible man.
A police report was filed leading to his arrest in December last year. For the offence, he appeared last week on Tuesday before Binga resident magistrate Ailene Munamati facing charges of having sexual intercourse with a minor and incest.
He pleaded not guilty claiming the mother of the child connived with the victim to fix him after he threatened to chuck her out of their matrimonial home for infidelity.
But the mother of the child rubbished that saying her husband got the advice from a sangoma.
He was remanded in custody to 24 January for continuation of trial.
