MOVE over celebs — the real star of the 2025 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) has four legs and a US$10 000 price tag!
A 30-month-old Brahman bull, bred and owned by Mr Jairos Mahlangu of Hlango Ranch in Mbalabala, stole the show at the Bulawayo Agricultural Society (BAS) showcase after being crowned Champion Brahman Bull.
Crowds gasped and cattlemen nodded in approval as the high-value hunk muscled its way to the top spot in a tightly contested category.
“It was tough, but our bull came out on top. People may wonder why it costs so much — it’s all about elite genetics, not beef,” said a proud Mr Mahlangu.

The bull’s genetic goldmine isn’t just for show — semen straws will hit the market by mid-year, ready to turn herds into high-class stock.
“This bull is young, strong and fertility-tested. He’s ready to mate,” added Mahlangu.
In a world where pedigree pays, this Brahman isn’t just livestock — it’s a walking, mooing fortune.
ZITF just got a whole lot beefier!
