Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov concluded his official visit to Addis Ababa, where he discussed with his Ethiopian counterparts the expansion of bilateral ties and the implementation of joint projects. This is reported by BelTA, a partner of TV BRICS.
During the visit, Maksim Ryzhenkov held talks with Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gedion Timothewos. The parties agreed to intensify work on a roadmap for cooperation, which is to be signed at the level of the leaders of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation, in particular, through the establishment of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Modernisation of Ethiopia’s agriculture with the use of Belarusian technologies and equipment, including the organisation of assembly plants and personnel training, will open up new prospects for partnership. The projects will be detailed during working meetings at the level of the relevant ministries.
Maksim Ryzhenkov also invited Ethiopian business to take part in Belarusian thematic exhibitions, including Belagro-2025. In the humanitarian sphere, an agreement was reached to hold Days of Belarusian Culture, Education, and Sports in Ethiopia.
During the meetings with business representatives, the parties discussed specific projects to set up assembly plants in Ethiopia based on Belarusian technologies, including tractor machinery and agricultural equipment. – tvbrics.com
