In a testament to the strength of family ties, the talented Hlatshwayo siblings — Alan, Greatjoy and Anita have combined their creative forces to establish a clothing brand that aims to dress the masses in Bulawayo.

Renowned for his prowess in events directing and thespian abilities, Greatjoy, the most popular among the trio, takes on the role of ambassador for the “Believe Apparel” brand, while his brother Alan, also known as “Papi Nala”, serves as the creative mind behind the brand.

Launched last year, the first collection of the brand’s merchandise is poised to hit the market this month.

Speaking to Chronicle Showbiz, Greatjoy shared that their brand is built on the pillars of self-belief and positivity.

“Believe Apparel is a clothing brand dedicated to attracting individuals who believe in themselves. Our philosophy revolves around the belief that hard work, self-belief and trust in a higher power can positively transform people’s stories,” Greatjoy explained.

He said their brand also aims to inspire those in need of motivation. The brand features t-shirts in various colours with distinct designs with the first series of Volume 1, titled the “Dreamers Episode” expected out this month.

Greatjoy also revealed plans to diversify their merchandise, incorporating pants and hoodies into the range.

Reflecting on the experience of working as a cohesive family unit, Greatjoy expressed, “It feels supportive and truly amazing to uplift and empower individuals who we share dreams with. They are actively promoting the brand and making it their own, aligning with our mission.”

Nokwanda Ndebele and Irene Mambasi complement the ambassadorial team, with more collaborators expected to join in.

Believe Apparel now stands among the city’s notable clothing brands, including City of Kings Apparel, Kingsville, Dejavu Apparel and Ndebele Crush. – @MbuleloMpofu
