Bulawayoa��s multi-talented model Bernard a�?Ben Chesta�? Ndlovu will go down history as the first Zimbabwean model to represent the country in the Amsterdam Fashion Week extravaganza which will be held in February 2018 in the United States of America.
Ben Chest, who scooped the Best Handsome Model award at this yearsa�� Zim Model Awards, will have the privilege to rub shoulders with the worlda��s celebrated fashion designers like South Africaa��s David Tlale, Carmicheal Bayfield from Jamaica, Germanya��s Liesbeth Sterkenburg and Boaz van Doornik from Netherlands.
The socialite-cum-actor, who featured on Dancing in the Storm, a television series, stated he was ready to fly the countrya��s flag high and his first international gig proves he has the responsibility of making the country proud.
a�?I have toured Botswana, South Africa and Namibia as a model but I havena��t gone outside Southern Africa. With my first international gig being the Amsterdam Fashion Week to be held in February, I am ready to represent and do the country proud,a�? said Ben Chest.
The 2010 face of Edgars and brand ambassador for Clix Clothing and DS Gentsimage revealed that soon after the Amsterdam gig he would launch his own modelling school and clothing line which will see up-and-coming Bulawayo models get a platform to rise to stardom.
a�?2017 was a big year for me as I gained recognition, even landing a gig to present awards at the Zim Hip-hop Awards and Skyz Metro FM Awards and now the world is calling me. As I am to set my first footprint on global heights, I am going to launch my own modelling school where I will be grooming upcoming male models so they can reach their potential,a�? he said.
