WARRIORS’ midfielder Kundai Benyu’s IBV are enduring a nightmarish campaign in Iceland’s top-flight league.
They are in the drop-zone of the league’s standings with four points and they are yet to record a victory in 10 attempts.
In the event that they lose against Breidablick, this coming weekend, it means they would have completed the first round of the season without collecting a full set of points.
Benyu joined the club last month and it appears the team are on their highway to play in the Second Division next season, should they fail to turn around their misfortunes in the remaining fixtures.
The Warriors midfielder earned the attention of his paymasters while enjoying a fine season with Second Division side, Vestri.
He is expected to be at the club for the remainder of the season.
The enterprising midfielder, proved to be a cut from a different cloth during his first Warriors call-up, at the 2021 AFCON finals in Cameron.
He was among the country’s best performers despite being a late inclusion to Norman Mapeza’s AFCON squad.
His countryman, Silus Songani, is also making steady progress for his Second Division side, Vestri. Songani left FC Platinum early January to join Vestri.
They are sitting eighth on the log and they are just five points off the mark after seven assignments.
They are slated to host a third placed Grindavik, at the weekend.
