Beritaas December hit

.
Only weeks after being attacked by a machete wielding man while on stage in South Africa, Zimbabwean Afro-soul songstress Berita Khumalo is ready to put the trauma of that incident behind her, as she releases a remake of her song, Chasing the Wind, by house sensation Da Capo.A A

Berita was left shell-shocked earlier this month after a harrowing attack at PlettChillOut in front of 2 000 fans at the Kwanokuthula Stadium in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape.

Ninel Musson, director at Vth Season, Beritaas management company, at the time gave details of the harrowing attack.

a?Two songs into Beritaas performance, a man with a machete came on stage and started cutting sound cables before proceeding to follow Berita with the knife.

a?It was one of the scariest incidents Iave experienced at a show. I was with Berita and weare both grateful to have escaped alive and unharmed. We regret that Berita was unable to complete her set as the crowd in attendance was extremely excited to see her perform and many travelled from far to witness the African Jewel live,a? Musson said.

However, the Nguwe Wedwa hit-maker has not allowed that attack to deter her, combining with star South African house producer Da Capo to remix the song Chasing the Wind, which has since been renamed Found You. The song initially appeared on Beritaas self-titled album which was released earlier this year.

The song is a collaboration between Vth Season and Black Coffeeas Soulistic.

a?After months of testing this song in New York, Ibiza, Uganda, Chicago, Nigeria, Kenya, UK, California, Amsterdam and South Africa, we are confident that we have a Summer HIT song on our hands that will transcend the borders of South Africa and be a song that is appreciated in all corners of the world,a? shares Raphael Benza of Vth Season.

Raphael Benza added: a?We are proud to partner with Soulistic Music on yet another influential collaboration. As a label, we always strive to break boundaries and get involved in musical projects that have a global appeal. Weare assured that Found You is going to make an impact on the house music scene globally.a? .
