SOUTH Africa-based songstress Betty Makaya will this Friday stage a show at Kombani Lodge in Plumtree.  The show, dubbed “The Return of Betty Makaya”, will see her perform alongside Bulawayo-based DJ Mzoe.Makaya is promising fans a night to remember.

“I’m coming to Zimbabwe on Friday and I will be playing my latest singles for the first time in the country. I’m totally excited about this show because I have never been to Plumtree. Actually I can’t wait to meet my fans there,” said Makaya.

Makaya is working on a new album to be released before the end of the year.
“My new album is going to be out soon and through it fans will see the other side of Betty Makaya, ” she said.

Makaya who is known for her collaboration with the late Jamal on the song Kurwizi, has been quiet for a long time and many of her fans have been wondering whether she has retired from the music industry.
