MUSICIANS Bhila, Acquillah K and Barrack Bozza have been unveiled as the headline acts for the 14th edition of the Kokota Festival.
The festival will take place at Highlanders Basketball Club in Bulawayo on December 5.
Other acts on the lineup include the movement’s founder Browny, Empire the MC, DJ Gaddafi, DJ Kananjo, DJ Blee, DJ Sliz, Vuyo The DJ, DJ Starz, DJ Mike, DJ Ma22, Fff Mofly, Peezet Samfana, Amakruger, Brillaizer, King Mtk, Slender Mabhonzo, Alloe the Rapper and Ctm.
This year’s event will be the ninth edition of the festival to be held in Zimbabwe, while the other five editions have taken place in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Browny said the popular youth movement was returning with a vibrant Yanos-inspired atmosphere and a renewed focus on promoting emerging talent.
“Now in its 14th edition, the festival will feature a diverse line-up of artistes, DJs, dancers and performers, highlighting both established and rising creatives within the entertainment scene.
“Kokota Festival is locked for 5 December at Highlanders Basketball Club next to Barrow Swimming Pool. Lineup is done, we are now finalizing production and security. At the moment we are focusing on stage, sound, lighting, security and vending to make sure we give the city a safe and memorable festival experience,” said Browny.
