Bhundu Boys’ Rise Kagona Strums his final chord

LOCAL music legend and one of the two surviving members of the iconic Bhundu Boys — Rise Kagona — has died.

Kagona, whose lead guitar-strumming and singing prowess charmed many during the peak of his musical career at jiti outfit Bhundu Boys, died this morning in Scotland, where he was now based.

The Bhundu Boys were one of the best music groups to emerge out of Zimbabwe.
