BINGA Football Academy director Pride Ngwenya has announced they will be releasing some players to undergo trials at Gweru-based side, Sheasham.
First to be identified were Pauletta Nguzuzyaleza Mwembe and Player Muleya who will be assessed in early January.
Both are 17-year-old strikers.
Ngwenya, when he revealed their plans for the next year, said they would want as many of the players to experience the game in other teams, saying this will be helpful in their talent development initiatives.
“We are proud to reveal that two of our players will be going for trials at Sheasham football club.
“The players are Pauletta Nguzuzyaleza Mwembe and Player Muleya.
“It is part of the team’s long term plans to expose our players to new environments and as such we are starting mutual relations with Sheasham,” said Ngwenya.
The Binga Football Academy director said they were in talking terms with other clubs such as Highlanders and Chicken Inn.
“We would like to establish good relations with teams playing in higher leagues. Already there’s a network with clubs such as Highlanders and Chicken Inn in Bulawayo. Hopefully, in the next season we will have players attached to such teams and more.
“The goal is to strengthen our young players. Moving them from Binga to the big cities is advantageous. Players learn more and get to be seen by scouts who might open opportunities that will change their lives for the better,” he said.
Ngwenya thanked the Binga business community for their continued support to the academy.
“The year was tough for us financially. We soldiered through the help of the Binga Local Board, Binga Rural District Council, Kwikmart Spar, Journeys End Lodge, Twice Happy Lodge, Batonga Villa Lodge, Jimba Safaris and many more individuals here in Binga.
Ngwenya also thanked Binga North Member of Parliament Chineka Muchimba for extending support to the team. — @NkosieLegend.
