AFTER a five-year sabbatical, gospel musician Beke “BK” Mguni has made a return with Udumo, a praise anthem already topping radio charts.

Produced by Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) 2025 Outstanding Producer Just Percy, the track with backing vocalists Vuyi Kcaleb and Charity Mapondera, is sitting at number one on the Skyz Metro FM Gospel Top 10.

BK described Udumo as a call to continually glorify God in every season.

“Whether in waiting or in victory, all honour belongs to Him. I started working on the song in February 2023 and intentionally released it on 17 December 2025. It reflects gratitude, perseverance and spiritual growth in my journey,” he said.

He explained that after his last release in 2021, he stepped back to grow spiritually and refine his sound.

“I’ve been writing, recording and preparing for this new season. The reception of Udumo, now number one on Skyz Metro FM’s Gospel Top 10, has been very encouraging,” he said.

BK said 2026 will focus on consistency and expansion, with more music, live worship experiences and collaborations lined up. He is currently working on another single featuring rising Bulawayo vocalist Voxie.

“It’s a project I’m excited about and one that will further showcase the depth and diversity of gospel talent in the city,” he said. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
