Black Mambas resume title charge

ZIFA Northern Region Division One League pacesetters Black Mambas will resume their title charge with a stern test against in-form Ngezi Platinum U-19 at Baobab this afternoon.

The police outfit will travel to Mashonaland West for a date with one of the teams doing well at the moment.

Black Mambas go to the game with their tails high after they walloped Shamva Mine 3-0 in their last league match.

John Ncube’s “Warumwa Warumwa” come up against a Clifton Kadurira’s Ngezi Platinum U-20 who were held to a one-nil draw by OMNIA last week.

Ncube, whose side has opened a seven-point lead ahead of Harare City, will be expected to continue with their fine run and the coach believes they are up for the challenge.

“We are ready for the challenge and we have been working hard throughout the week. The boys are ready and we are looking forward to the game and we are hopeful to come up with a positive result.

“We are now scoring goals which is good for the side and that helps us to get our desired results. Ngezi Platinum U-19 has been playing well especially at home but we will not look much into that,’ said Ncube.

The other matches will see Harare City playing host to Come Again at Motor Action this afternoon, with the title contenders expected to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Banket United last week.

The Joseph “Shabba” Takaringofa coached “Sunshine Boys” were shocked 1-0 by Banket barely a week after they became the first team to inflict a defeat to Black Mambas.
