BULAWAYO Provincial Pool Association (BPPA)’s Mzilikazi District Pool League A table toppers Black Sharks continued their fine run in the competition as they were awarded three free points and 14 goals after their opponents Green Corner failed to show up for the match.

Eyeing the league title, the free three points they got from bottom placed Green Corner meant that the high flying Black Sharks are now six points clear off second placed WestCom.

Mzilikazi District committee member, Honest Nkomo described the failure to show up for the fixture by Green Corner as “a gigantic betrayal in the history of pool” stating that the walkover act on Saturday tops all the betrayals.

Black Sharks went into the game week leading by three points but the gap has been doubled.

In other fixtures played on Saturday, a top of the table clash between Real Caravan and WestCom saw the latter emerge 10-4 victors to jump to second on the league standings while Real Caravan drops to third.

“The once feared giant of Mzilikazi has become a punching bag of most and even average teams,” said Nkomo referring to Afri Stickers.
