ZIMBABWE is set to welcome a groundbreaking global initiative that promises to empower its citizens, particularly school children, with essential financial literacy skills.

The Blonka Movement 4:44 Financial Literacy World Tour, inspired by Jay-Z’s critically acclaimed album 4:44, is coming to Zimbabwe this May, backed by Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s entertainment powerhouse.

Arriving in Zimbabwe tomorrow (May 1), the tour, spearheaded by universal activist and world-renowned author Blonka Mack, aims to provide underserved communities with tools for financial empowerment and economic advancement.

Mack described the tour as a deeply personal and transformational journey, emphasising the importance of financial literacy in breaking generational curses and building wealth.

“We advocate heavily for underserved communities and educating our people so we don’t have to learn through trial and error like a lot of us had to,” Mack explained.

“We are here to teach you about credit, how to leverage it, how to break generational curses, and how to get six-figure lines of credit from the bank, something that is not always taught in our households.”

The initiative has already made waves across the United States and is now expanding its impact to Zimbabwe, shining an international spotlight on the country’s educational landscape.

With Roc Nation providing vital support, the movement is committed to reaching as many students as possible, particularly in the academic space and creative economy.

Mack’s acclaimed book, “Book of Keyz Part 1: A College Readiness Blueprint,” addresses financial literacy, mental wellness, nutrition, generational wealth, and the trillion-dollar buying power of the Black community.

Since 2020, over 20,000 copies of the book have been donated to students worldwide.

The Blonka Movement 4:44 Financial Literacy World Tour is a timely initiative that highlights the importance of financial literacy in today’s economy.

By equipping school children and communities with vital financial skills, the tour promises to promote economic advancement and generational wealth, empowering Zimbabweans to take control of their financial futures.

Zimbabwean schools and communities can connect with the movement and be part of this life-changing opportunity by reaching out to Blonka Mack via email: [email protected] or following the movement on social media @blonkamovement.

As Mack said, “This world tour will inspire millions and shine a light on Zimbabwe.” – Follow on X @MbuleloMpofu
