BLOODY NIGHT IN PARKLANDS Good Samaritan saves stab victim

POLICE in Bulawayo are investigating a case of attempted murder after a 26-year-old man was found bleeding profusely at a Parklands intersection on Sunday night.

The victim, from Entumbane, was discovered at around 10PM lying in a pool of blood at the corner of Harare Road and Albans Road.

“Police received a report of attempted murder where unknown accused person brutally attacked the complainant and left him lying bleeding profusely,” Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele confirmed in a statement.

A Good Samaritan who stumbled upon the scene rushed the man to hospital while another bystander dashed to make a police report.

“The complainant sustained various serious injuries all over the body but was in a stable condition,” said Insp Msebele. She praised the public for stepping in to save a life.

“We would like to appreciate the love of the members of the public who rendered help and also reported the matter to police and saved life,” she said.

Insp Msebele added that investigations are ongoing and appealed for tip-offs.
“We also appeal to anyone with information about the perpetrators to come forth so that the accused persons are arrested and face the wrath of the law,” said Insp Msebele.
