Body found near Entumbane Complex, drowning suspected

POLICE in Bulawayo have confirmed the discovery of a body of an unidentified man in a bushy area near Fambeki Stream close to Entumbane Complex, with drowning suspected to be the cause of death.

Bulawayo police spokesperson, Inspector Nomalanga Msebele said the incident occurred on March 3, at around 3PM when officers received information about a body that had been spotted near the stream.

“Police attended the scene and found the body of an unknown male adult believed to be approximately 45 years old.

The deceased was wearing a blue long-sleeved top and black trousers at the time of discovery,” said Insp Msebele.

There were no signs of life when the body was found.

She said the body was later conveyed to Mpilo Central Hospital where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Insp Msebele said police are appealing to members of the public who may have a missing relative matching the description to contact ZRP Entumbane on 0292-2418234 or visit the nearest police station or Mpilo Hospital mortuary to assist with identification.
