Body of a city man found dead in Cleveland area identified

Police have identified the body of a man who was found dead on Monday at the intersection of Arcturus and Lobho Roads as that of, Tapfumanei Masaya (51).

Investigations to ascertain circumstances surrounding his death are being conducted and police will release more details.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said they were also waiting for post mortem results.

“Reference is made to the Police’s press statement issued on November 13, 2023 in connection with the body found at the intersection of Arcturus Road and Lobho Road, Cleveland area, Harare on November 12, 2023. The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms that the body has been identified by the next of kin as that of Tapfumanei Masaya aged 51.

“Police is currently conducting comprehensive investigations on the circumstances surrounding Tapfumanei Masaya’s death while at the same time waiting for the full post mortem report,” he said.
