MOTHER’S Day celebrations in Bulawayo are set to take on a soulful and sophisticated tone this Sunday, May 10, with South African vocalist Boohle headlining the Boohle VIP Experience, a premium lifestyle event designed to blend music, emotion and elegance.
The show, to be held at a popular bar and restaurant in the city, is being positioned as more than just a night out, with organisers crafting an experience that reflects the warmth and sentiment associated with Mother’s Day. Known for her emotive delivery and soulful Amapiano sound, Boohle is expected to create an intimate atmosphere that resonates deeply with audiences.
Organisers said the choice of Boohle was deliberate, citing her strong connection with fans and her ability to evoke emotion through music.
“Boohle represents the emotional and soulful side of Amapiano, which aligns perfectly with the experience we wanted to curate,” they said.
The event has been carefully scheduled to coincide with Mother’s Day, adding a deeper layer of meaning to the evening.
“We wanted an artiste whose music connects deeply with people, and Boohle does that effortlessly,” organisers added.
A supporting line-up of local acts, including Stinah DaSoul, DATBOIFRESH and Kotwane Hikwa, will set the tone with a mix of high-energy and soulful performances, leading up to the headline act.
“The goal was to create a balanced sonic journey, from high-energy sets to soulful transitions, so that Boohle’s performance feels like a climax,” organisers said.
Hosting duties will be handled by MC MTK Ntwana, who is expected to ensure a seamless flow of the programme and keep audiences engaged throughout the night.
Despite the pressure of delivering a high-end event, organisers say overwhelming public interest has driven them to refine every aspect of the experience.
“Seeing the level of excitement has pushed us to be more detailed and intentional in our execution,” they said.
