HIGHLANDERS’ centenary celebrations moved from the football terraces to the streets of Bulawayo on Friday as the club’s much-anticipated roadshow brought its black-and-white spirit to the city’s suburbs.
The roadshow, which started at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Statue in the city centre, is part of the club’s activities marking 100 years of existence and celebrating its deep-rooted connection with the people of Bulawayo.
By midday, the procession had reached Cowdray Park, taking the centenary message to one of the city’s biggest residential areas as the journey continued along the route announced by the club.
Supporters were encouraged to come out in their numbers, wave Highlanders flags, sound their vehicle horns and turn the city black and white in a show of loyalty to the country’s oldest football institution.
The roadshow is also part of the build-up to Highlanders’ final home appearance of the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, giving Bosso followers another opportunity to celebrate their centenary year together.
