Bosso confirm Mushore is leaving

PSL giants Highlanders have confirmed an agreement with South African football club AmaZulu for the permanent transfer of Mason Mushore, effective January 1, 2026.

Mushore has long been linked with a move to the Betway Premiership side, alongside Ngezi Platinum Stars player, Takunda Benhura.

“We are immensely grateful to Mason for his commitment, passion, and outstanding contributions during his time with us. Thank you for the memories. We wish you nothing but the very best as you embark on this exciting new chapter of your career,” said Bosso in a statement yesterday.

At the Durban-based AmaZulu, Mushore and Benhura will join compatriot Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, who signed for the club in June this year.

This development arguably reflects AmaZulu’s growing confidence in Zimbabwean football talent.
Ngwenya has already made an impact at Usuthu, scoring crucial goals that have earned him immediate respect in the Super Diski and, in the process, national team call-ups.

In past years, the Durban club has been home to former Highlanders duo Tapuwa Kapini and Mkhokheli Dube, among others.

Ephraim “John Barnes” Mwale is another former player of the club with Zimbabwean roots.
Mushore’s departure from the black-and-white camp comes at a time Bosso are battling to convince another midfield workhorse, Melikhaya Ncube, to stay.

Ncube’s contract with Bosso expires at midnight today amid growing rumours that he is on the verge of joining Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) returnees, Bulawayo Chiefs.
