PREMIERSHIP rivals Highlanders and Dynamos will today appear before the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee together with Bosso defender Peter Muduhwa over the ill-fated league match at Barbourfields early this month.
The match at Barbourfields on September 10 was abandoned after 38 minutes with Dynamos leading 2-0 due to crowd trouble after Highlanders fans from the Soweto-stand throw missiles and invaded the pitch while DeMbare fans later entered the field of play.
Highlanders are being charged of causing the abandonment of the match, missile throwing, pitch invasion, acts of violence and malicious damage to property.
Muduhwa is being accused of inciting violence and improper behaviour which brings the League into disrepute while Dynamos have also been charged for pitch invasion, missile throwing and acts of violence.
Fifteen people have since appeared in court in connection with acts of violence that occurred at Babourfields Stadium in the abandoned match between Dynamos FC and Highlanders FC on September 10.
Last week, the police confirmed they had arrested 19 people in connection with the skirmishes at the Stadium.
Bulawayo-based Lawyer Nqobani Sithole, who is representing the arrested fans confirmed that they had appeared in court last week.
“We have dealt with 15 that were arrested and the charge is public violence. They appeared first on initial remand. They were remanded in custody and should be appearing in court on September 28. They are all in high spirits,” said Sithole.
