Recently appointed Bosso coach Kelvin Kaindu sat out the match in the terraces as he is yet to get his work permit.

His assistants Try Ncube and Agent Sawu took charge.

New boys, Reason Sibanda and Brighton Ncube were given a run in the starting line-up while the rest of the team were the retained players.

Raphael Pitisi was in goal, Marvelous Chigumira, Archford Faira, Peter Muduhwa and Mbeba made up the backline.

In midfield was the trio of Mason Mushore, Melikhaya Ncube and Godfrey Makaruse.

Lynoth Chikukwa gave guidance to the new boys, Sibanda and Ncube upfront.

After the match the Highlanders assistant coach, Try Ncube said he was happy with how his side played.

“This is our first pre-season friendly and I am happy with how we played, the boys fared well,” he said.

Once Bosso took the lead midway through the first-half, they showed maturity in controlling the game.

Ncube applauded the players for managing the game.

“In terms of defensive organisation and midfield combinations we came out tops but we still have room for improvement,” said Ncube.
