HIGHLANDERS continued on their revival path with a 20-19 win over Wise Waters in the Bulawayo Metropolitan Darts League on Wednesday night.
Bosso captain Sikhulile Sibanda was on cloud nine after his team ended Wise Waters’ unbeaten run.
“I said before the game that this was a must-win game for us and we had to win at all cost. It was really a tight match as evidenced by the scoreline but I am happy that we won,” said Sibanda.
It was Highlanders’ third win in a row, after a dismal start which saw them winning one match in eight games.
“The morale is now high in our camp and I believe in the last few games we have been moving in the right direction. Beating a team like Wise Waters is a big boost for us going forward,” said Sibanda.
Meli Tshuma was the top star winning five games while the rest of the team bagged three each.
Despite the defeat, Wise Waters are on third position with 10 points, the same points with Archers who are on top as a result of a superior dart difference.
In other matches, high-flying Railstars thrashed School of Mines 28-11 to cement their stay on top of the table with 11 points.
Defending champions Archers ran amok defeating struggling PPC Wolves 32-7 to move to second spot while Maison Nic won 33-6 against How Mine.
