Tafi Moyo, an icon in his own right and dedicated member of the Bulawayo community, was one of the pioneer black businessmen and in August 1987, he received a civic award from the City of Bulawayo for his contribution to the improvement of community life, development of sport and for his role in the struggle for an independent Zimbabwe.
On the late centenarianas 100th birthday celebrations, President Robert Mugabe fondly recalled the money that Moyo had given to the struggle, saying the nation was forever indebted to the centenarian.
Tafi Moyo is on record saying he started supporting Bosso in the 1920s when it was still known as Lions.
His Mzilikazi house was the Highlanders home until they bought the Luveve guest house, known as Hotel California.
Meanwhile, Democratic Republic of Congo Highlanders duo of Tambwe KalungaA and Ebabali Yves has finally received their work permits.
There could be no better time for the pair to come to the fold amid revelations that Bossoas speed merchant Gabriel Nyoni, nimble footed Rahman Kutsanzira and young Godfrey Makarutse were still in the treatment room.
Equatorial Guinea striker Manuel Esono, who was also signed by Bosso in the first transfer window, is still awaiting his international reverse clearance.
